Antiques, Fine Art & CollectiblesVintage WW2 Chelsea Mark I Deck Clock Bakelite US Navy Black Face 1943 Mounted
DESCRIPTION
Authentic working World War II vintage bakelite ship’s deck clock made for the U.S. Navy by the Chelsea clock company. The black dial is marked "MARK I DECK CLOCK U.S. NAVY N 50394 1943” in the center, then “CHELSEA.” below the 6. The bakelite case is unmarked. Currently working well and although the key is missing it can be wound up using a number 6 key which was used to test it.
This would make a great birthday gift, nautical man cave gift or housewarming gift.
MEASUREMENTS
Clock case measures 8" diameter by 4" deep and weighs 4lb 14oz.
CONDITION
This clock is in good condition considering age and use. It does keep time well and runs strong when wound but I would recommend having the movement cleaned to ensure proper time is kept. No key is included (but it winds with a number 6). There is some scuffing to the bakelite case and glass case (please see all pictures as they form part of the condition description).
