Up for auction here is a
Vintage 1955 ARVIN 851T AM Radio Bakelite Tube Radio Cosmopolitan with Operation Instructions
.  Item appear to be in good cosmetic condition with usual signs of wear such as scuffs, scrapes and scratches. There is a crack on the top of the radio which is in the photos and we did circle it so you can see what we are trying to describe.  We did plug in this unit and it did power on as you can see in the photos.
We do live in the Ozark Mountains and is hard to get a good signal on a good day and at the moment we are in a snow storm,
so we are selling this item is "as is", may be for parts or restoration only.  Estate find and was said to be working, however, we have not tested any further then plugging it in and powering it on.  Please ask question before bidding and please view  all the photos as it is part of our description and please bid accordingly.  Please remember the shipping calculator is for shipping and handling costs estimation purposes only and doesn't always reflect correct shipping cost.  So if you send us your shipping information we will be happy to get you a more accurate cost for UPS or shipping.  If your item is being shipped USPS Priority Mail or USPS Priority Flat Rate your invoice total will reflect proper insurance and tracking or other delivery confirmation costs for buyer protection and ours.  Items will ship once payment has cleared.  Thanks for looking and happy bidding.

We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above.

It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Again, this unit is being sold 100% as-is. **
