Absolutely Stunning Antique French Silver Sugar Casket By Emile Puiforcat.
The Casket is in the Louis XVI style with a baluster shaped solid silver body standing on a square pedestal.The lower part of the pedestal is decorated  with pearl and egg molded design. The upper part shows a beautifully worked laurel wreath.The most gorgeous feature of this sugar casket are the two Rams heads decorating each side holding a laurel wreath in there mouths.The fineness of the work is exquisite. The edge of the lid is decorated with a laurel wreath and the finnial is in a blueberry form resting on a crown of grape leaves and grapes. It measures 7 1/2" tall by approximately 5" at the widest point. The pedestal measures 3" x 3" x 3".
There are no dents or dings on this piece. It is in superb condition. It is hallmarked with a Minerva Head and an E P with a standing feather between. It weighs 12.77 Troy Oz or 397.2 grams. Email with any questions.
