    Description

    UP FOR SALE IS A REBUILT AND TESTED LEFT (DRIVERS SIDE) HEADLIGHT MOTOR THAT FITS ALL FOUR YEARS BUICK REATTA.  THIS MOTOR HAS HAD THE KIT DESCRIBED BELOW PROFESSIONALLY INSTALLED AND TESTED.
    IT IS A PLUG AND PLAY REPAIR.  IF YOUR MOTOR HAS BEEN DAMAGED BY THE ELEMENTS OR PHYSICALLY DAMAGED BY AN ACCIDENT THEN THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL PROBABLY NEED.  IF YOUR MOTORS SPIN BUT THE HEADLIGHTS JUST DON'T COME UP DON'T BUY THIS COMPLETE MOTOR.  SIMPLY BUY THE KIT DESCRIBED BELOW.

    If you own a Reatta then you have, have had, or will have headlight actuation problems.
    After owning several Reattas myself I am completely familiar with the way these lights are supposed to work and the reasons they fail to work properly.
    I have never been happy with the previously available “fixes” for one reason or another so we decided to reverse engineer our own with improvements learned from hands on experience.
    Although it is possible, it is highly unlikely that the headlight motors are bad in your car.
    (There is no need to disassemble the motor's armature or brushes)
    Commonly there are two failure modes in the headlight actuation mechanisms.
    (1)
    The factory bell cranks “round out” where they fit over the motor drive shaft and or (2)the original roller bushings disintegrate from age.
    If your headlights don’t work properly; you have one or both of theses issues.
    Probably both
    Valiant efforts have been made in the past to solve the Reatta headlight problem with various degrees of success.
    We have not only come up with a new and better solution to an old problem but have identified the problems with the OEM hardware.
    Our crank assemblies (Replaces PN 16510108 1988-1991) are dimensionally identical to original, however we have “designed out” the shortcomings of the factory and other aftermarket parts.
    No need for spacers behind the headlight motor as with other poorly designed hardware.
    As a Reatta owner and mechanic I wanted my redesigned headlight bell crank kit to be as easy to install as possible.
    With our kit there is no need for special tools, additional hardware or spacers.
    The troublesome snap ring has been eliminated and replaced with a mechanic friendly hitch pin.
    Basically our product is installed exactly like the original, with higher quality materials and designed to be user friendly.
    Be aware that other vendors sell less expensive kits that do not include the all important bellcrank.  Others still sell a kit that includes unnecessary gears and straps that simply are not necessary and inflate the price.
    As mentioned earlier we have designed out the problems with the original parts and are so confident in our engineering and manufacturing process that we offer a guarantee for as long as you own your car.
    These bell cranks should be trouble free.
    Our product is professionally produced utilizing the latest technology probably unavailable when the car was originally produced.
    Our hardware is laser cut to extremely close
    tolerances
    and finished with a satin powder coat.
    No expense was spared producing this hardware and they were made right here in the
    USA
    .
    Returning “cores” or the old parts is unnecessary and they may be discarded at your option.  In an effort to keep the cost of this kit down we do not sell you parts that you do not need.
    Included in your kit will be a new manufactured bell crank and
    new
    Delrin roller bushings.
    As mentioned earlier the OEM bushings seem to fail due to age.
    (
    Even brand new OEM headlight motors will have old bushings and have been known to fail.)
    We manufacture new roller bushings to factory specs utilizing new virgin stock materials.
    We include all necessary hardware which includes two nylon push in (upstop) nuts to
    accommodate
    for variations we have noticed in the headlight bracket,  a new motor shaft nut and even a 2ml container of blue Loctite to insure a perfect and long lasting repair.
