    Original Ackero Troup Window Card
    This is an original window card used to promote the Ackero show and includes Lady Ruth. Ackero’s real name was Louis Ackerman (-1984) and at one time was Kalanag’s understudy before moving to the US. Lady Ruth Mahan was also known as “The Lady Who Baffled Houdini.”

    A “window card” is a poster that is used to promote a show or an event. It is made of stiff cardboard and is often placed at retail store windows. It is also used at theaters and at events in glass cases outside of the venue.
    This original 14 x 22 inch, window card was purchased at auction from the David Price Egyptian Hall Museum (EHM 3205). It is not dated, although magic historians would be able to figure out rough dates, probably. Pre-owned but in good condition for its age. Fold across the middle from being folded when shipped to the theater.
