As a master distributor for ASI (American Specialties, Inc.k), we daily ship the ASI Baby Changing Stations to construction contractors, Division 10 supply companies, churches, business, & individuals all over the country.  And on occasion, a shipper will handle the product a little rougher than the manufacturer’s packaging was created to handle. Or a customer will request to exchange the changing station originally ordered for a different color or a vertically-folding unit instead of horizontal or that their wall space can’t accommodate the unit purchased.  Because of customer satisfaction is of paramount importance to us, we have at times accepted these units back (even after having been opened and occasionally mishandled on the job site or by the shipping company). In such cases, we can no longer sale the units as “new”.  It truly is an "our loss is your gain" situation.  This ASI 9012 is "new" in performance in every way.  Specific to this unit is one small superficial scuff in the bed of the changing station. This is not a refurbished unit; absolutely no repair was needed.  All components (pneumatic cylinder, safety strap, steel mounting chassis, etc.) are brand new.  It's only the polyethylene plastic that has received this one minor ding.  We've taken .00 from the original price and included free UPS Ground Shipping to anywhere in the contiguous "lower 48" states.  If not fully satisfied once you've received the unit, we'll provide a return UPS label and a complete refund.
This durable and attractive ASI baby changing station (Model 9012) is made of FDA approved high-density polyethylene (HDPE) non-porous plastic - light cream in color.  It is easy to clean and resistant to odors and bacteria growth. Graphics and safety messages in seven different languages are displayed on the back wall portion just above the laybed. In addition, a built-in dispenser for sanitary liners are conveniently located just above the changing surface when folded open. Total capacity of the dispenser is approximately 25 pre-folded liners (liners not included)
The station is designed to be surface mounted to the wall using the included hardware. Pre-drilled mounting holes are designed for wood studs on 16" centers. (For installation in wall that does not have wood studs 16" on center, metal studs, or concrete block, toggle fasteners may need to be purchased locally by the buyer.) The station folds down horizontally so the the adult is facing the wall while changing the infant whose is laying parallel to the wall. The ASI 9012 meets all ASTM requirements for static load performance when properly installed. A pneumatic cylinder provides for easy, slow, and controlled one-hand opening and closing of the bed. Both the pneumatic cylinder and hinge mechanism are fully concealed (regardless of bed position) to eliminate tampering and possible pinch hazard. Although designed for infants that weigh no more than 50 lbs, in testing the 9012 easily supported 300 lbs with minimal deflection of the "bed" from horizontal.
The contoured changing surface cradles the child's body, and comes complete with two-piece safety strap and two
convenient bag or heavy-duty purse hooks built in. Folded closed the changer's dimensions are 36"W x 22.25"H x 4"D. When open the changer extends out from the wall 20-7/16". And when properly installed, this changer complies with the highest Federal ADA Accessibility Guidelines.
