    Description

This is a wonderful Jerry Roan Bolo Tie. He died in 1977 after a long career as a Navajo artist and I was lucky enough to obtain two of his pieces. Please see my other listings for the other one. This one is also a kachina doll design and is signed JR and marked sterling. It has four beautiful blue turquoise stones with gorgeous matrices. It was professionally polished and is much brighter and shimmery then the pictures show. Please note that the spots on the breast plate are the camera. They do not exist on the piece. It is 6" tall and 4 & 3/4" wide at the wing tips. It weighs 132 grams including the silver, stones and bolo string. The bolo string is 46" long, which provides for a 23" drop. The tips are gorgeous sterling. This piece came out of an old Arizona estate and was well cared for. It is a beauty. Jerry Roan pieces are the cream of the crop when it comes to Kachina bolos. The artistry sets them apart. They are attention getters to say the least. Thanks for looking.
