SUMMARY
: The 120Volt ThinAir hand dryer by Excel Dyer can thoroughly dry the user’s hands in only 14 seconds in a surface-mounted, 4 inch thick unit.  The TA-ABS has a one-piece, heavy-duty, unbreakable, rustproof cover made of high-impact white polymer with SanaFor antibacterial additive in the plastic. The ~1/2HP motor is automatically activated by an infrared sensor; dryer operates as long as hands are under the air outlet. An air velocity of 16,000 linear feet per minute and an air temperature of 101°F are produced at hand level (4 in. below nozzle). Mounting hardware and instructions included.

n late 2015, the Excel Dryer Co. introduced their first high-speed hand dryer that meets the ADA protrusion regulations without the need of recessing.  At only 4 inches thick, the ultra compact & stylish Excel ThinAir TA-ABS can be surface-mounted & still meet ADA compliance for 4" protrusion into a primary walk-way or traffic corridor.
With no need to recess the unit or buy a separate recess kit, installation is quicker, easier, & far less expensive.
The TA-ABS has a variable speed motor; meaning adjustable speed & sound.  The motor can be set to any speed between fastest to slowest.
The heating element is adjustable as well with four settings: high, medium, low & off.
With these two variables (speed & heat), the owner can customize the air flow, dry time, sound volume, and energy consumption to fit any application environment.
Both controls are accessible only when the cover is removed. In addition, the ThinAir has smart sensor technology that is constantly monitoring the performance of the dryer.  Should maintenance be required, trouble-shooting is expedited by the flashing of an error code from a visible Red LED light.  For continued, reliable performance, the TA comes standard with a washable wire mesh pre-screen (the Red LED activates should the filter become clogged).

here are two (2) different ThinAir models.  The internal components and performance of the two are identical; the only difference is the material and appearance of the cover.
Specific to this listing & the model TA-ABS, a high-impact white polymer is used to form
the one-piece, highly-durable, vandal-resistant cover.  The white color is through the full thickness of the cover material

One tamper-proof, chrome plated bolt secures the cover to the wall plate/motor base. The ThinAir uses a powerful “series commutated through-flow discharge vacuum motor/blower” design.
Set to the highest speed (30,000 RPM), this powerful yet extremely efficient ~1/2HP motor can produce an air velocity of 16,000 lfm (linear feet per minute) at the air outlet.  Dry time is an impressive 14 seconds, which is 2 X faster than standard 30-second hand dryers. But the actual length of the run cycle is determined by the user.  The motor and the NiChrome heating element are activated by an infrared optical sensor, and as soon as the user's hands are removed from under the unit, the drying cycle is terminated.  The ThinAir heats the out-flowing air to approx.141°F (from an ambient temperature of 72°F) through a combination of the 550W heating element, friction, and the compression of the air flow.  Mounting instructions and warranty information are included.
