The EllieMat was made in honor of Ellie Bowman, who was born with a genetic chromosome deletion called 22q11.2 deletion. She has had 3 open-heart surgeries in the past 3 years, along with many other medical procedures and complications. The goal of EllieTek is raise money to support Ellie's medical care- as well as raising awareness for 22q deletion and Congenital Heart Defects.
