Our all-in-one WETBLAST FLEX system gives you convenience you don’t get from traditional slurry systems. Its design and simplified set up and operation make for easier end-of-shift shutdown. By mixing the abrasive and water after it leaves the blast machine, you never have to empty a machine of a messy water/abrasive mix.
Flexible set up options allow you to position the water injector either at the base of the blast machine or at the nozzle – your choice. With the injector at the nozzle, you can adjust the water/abrasive mix at any time.
You can dry-blast with the FLEX, simply remove the injector adaptor mounted at the base of the machine, and turn off air to the pump.

All in one convenient design with fork lift pockets and lifting eyes.
WATER SOURCE
Use the on board water tank or connect the system to a municipal water source.
This equipment is designed and equipped as follows:
1)
PRESSURE VESSEL:
The media is fed into the compressed air stream from a six cubic foot capacity pressure vessel.  This pressure vessel is cylindrical in shape.  It conforms with all appropriate
ASME
regulations and carries a National Board approval certificate, with a rating of 150 psig.  The vessel has a conical bottom.  The top of the vessel is concave to allow automatic feeding of the media through the remote controlled closure that is located in the center of the concave head.  This closure utilizes a rubber-to-rubber seal (commonly known as the “pop-up-valve and seat).  The vessel utilizes 1-1/4” piping to insure peak performance.  During fabrication the pressure vessel is abrasive blasted to remove any mill scale.  A 6” x 8” hand hole is provided for maintenance access. The pressure vessel also includes a pot screen and a pot cover to be used while the unit is not in use.

MEDIA FLOW VALVE:
The control of the media feed is through gravity only when the pressure in the vessel is equal to the pressure in the compressed air piping.  The valve is mounted at 45 degrees to the compressed piping and includes a clean out access plate above the flow control area.  Tough stainless steel plates meter precisely.  It is ruggedly built to blast for years.  The Grit Valve is Clemco’s Auto Quantum Valve and is of Clemco’s own design and manufacture.

MOISTURE SEPARATOR:
One
(1) 1-1/2” moisture separator/filter with manual drain is provided.  This unit will remove water and oil droplets.  It will not remove vapors.  It is not to be mistakenly used as an air dryer.

OPERATOR REMOTE CONTROLS:
The remote controls are of the pneumatic type, which incorporate a normally closed inlet valve and normally open outlet valve.  Air pressure opens the inlet valve and closes the outlet valve to begin the blasting process.  If there is a loss of air pressure to the valves, springs return the valves to normal position and blasting stops.  All interconnecting hoses between valves are included. Fifty feet of twinline remote control hose and fifty feet of single line remote control hose is provided.
A RLX remote control handle with abrasive cut off switch is provided. This remote handle allows the operator to cut the abrasive off at the nozzle and use the nozzle as a blow off and wash off tool.

WET BLAST INJECTOR:
The unit is outfitted with Clemco’s wetblast injector system complete with 50 feet of wetblast attachment hose.
6)
WATER TANK:
A 120 gallon water storage tank is included as standard.
7)
OPERATOR PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
None provided. Please order separately.
8)
BLAST NOZZLE:
None provided. Please order separately. THIS UNIT IS DESIGNED TO UTILIZE A CONTRACTOR THREAD NOZZLE, ALSO KNOWN AS 50MM THREADS.
9)
BLAST HOSE:
None provided. Please order separately.
