CHELSEA USN TIME-ONLY SHIP CLOCK 6" SILVERED DIAL WWII 1943

Description

For your consideration, an eight day mechanical WWII Chelsea Navy clock. The movement is housed in a hinged phenolic case painted battleship grey while shipboard. The pristine 6" silvered dial has a seconds bit at 12 o'clock, engraved arabic numerals and ports for winding and slow/fast adjustment with the provided dual end key. Original moon hands. Recently serviced, the clock runs strong and keeps accurate time. Some adjustment may be needed after shipment. SN 363442 dates the clock to 1943. A nice example and unusual in that most similar examples of the period have black dials. There is a tiny fleabite on the glass surface at 7:00 o'clock as shown.
