    Brass cases with bronze and brass ship's wheel surrounds. Bronze base. Height 8.5". Width 14.75". Crystal diameters 3.5". Bezel diameters 4.75".

    Chelsea Vintage Bell Clock Set
    Both Bezels are Hinged , Clock and Barometer are mounted on a Brass Base with Ball feet and make a lovely Nautical Presentation.
    All the glass, the etched silvered Dial and Chelsea space hands are all in excellent original condition.
    The clock keeps near perfect time on a full wind which lasts in excess of two weeks.
    It has a very pleasant and mellow Bell strike.
    The Bell is unique as it keeps to a code based on the crews typical workday schedule while the vessel is under way.
    The day is divided into six four hour periods each called " Watch "
    Therefore First Watch 0800-1200
    Mid Watch 1200-1600 and so forth
    And then eight bells signalled the end of each four hour Watch.
    The clock functions exactly as stated without fault.
    The clock is without any damage and does have some age related Brass markings which I am sure could be polished out if required.
    This is a very heavy clock
