    Chelsea Pilot Clock & Barometer Set 1950.
    Whether placed on the wall of the cabin or den the PILOT is so unmistakable a “timekeeper of the sea” that it wins a welcome from everyone who enjoys life afloat-and is a supremely dependable timekeeper. It is cased in solid cast bronze, equipped with the standard Chelsea 8-day lever movement, with the ship’s bell strike. (From 1930 Chelsea catalog).
    Beautiful aged patina and waxed finish this 3 3/4” dial clock set is the smallest of the Chelsea series of pilot clocks. The clock has a silvered dial with black engraved numbers and lettering in mint condition. Original Hands and glass.
    The movement has been *** Professionally Restored ***. Serial number 559670. Dated 1950. Matching number to case.
    The holosteric barometer is made according to the same standards of sterling materials and flawless workmanship that characterize Chelsea Clocks. They are carefully tested, and made to give dependable, trouble-free service, year after year, requiring a minimum of care. Equipped with a reliable Fahrenheit thermometer. The barometer is cased in solid cast bronze also with a 3 3/4” silvered dial and black engraved numbers and lettering. Manufacturer date stamped on back of case 2/50. February 1950.
    Both bezels screw smoothly onto cases.
