c 1960s/70s Handmade Western Ranch Bolo Tie with Horse Emblem. This is a previously owned estate item.
Provenance; the decedent's daughter advise that her father passed away in his later years. For a good part of his life, he was an avid collector of Native American and Tibetan Tribal jewelry. This bolo tie is from that part of the collection.
During examination and photographic process, I was able to date the item to approximately 1960s 70s. The bolo slide mechanism appears to be hand made as I can see the irregularities using a loup. The tie itself appears to be leather that has been coded with some type of coating material. The bolo slide works wonderfully without any issues. The tie material has minimal deterioration.
