Antique Victorian Register Heating Grate Vent #101 Tin Metal Rectangular Checker

Hello, you are viewing my listing for an Antique Victorian Register Heating Grate Vent.  This is heating grate vent #101.  This item appears to be made from a Tin Metal however I am uncertain of the exact type of metal that it is made from.  A magnet will stick to the metal.  There are Checker Board Square Patterns present throughout this Rectangular Shape Heating Grate Vent.  This item weighs 3 pounds and measures 11 and 3/4" long by 9 and 3/4" wide by 1 and 3/4" deep.  There is some minor wear present including some light rust and dirt.  The louvers on the bottom do not open and close.  They appear to be rusted shut.  The toggle switch on the front appears to be broken.  There are no other breaks or repairs present.  Local pickup is accepted.
