ANTIQUE VICTORIAN RARE ORIGINAL CAST IRON ARCH WALL DECORATIVE GRATE REGISTER

I am selling one antique original cast iron arch wall register with a rare ceramic center piece. The piece is about 1 3/4” in diameter. It was cracked into three pieces and I did the best to glue them together with Gorilla glue. There are no louvers.
You are admiring an early Americana original work of art. This is not a reproduction that is in ORIGINAL condition. All that I have done was brush the flaked paint and dust from this extraordinary grate. You do not see old arch grates with a beautiful ceramic piece in the middle of the grate.
This is a "true" architectural salvage antique. If you are looking for something that looks new please go to another auction. This piece shows the true beauty of craftsmanship from years ago. You can not reproduce items that look like this.
This grate has several coats of paint. You can try restoring the grate to see the many decorative parts or leave them under the original paint and it will be a mystery of what is under the paint!
There are no noticeable cracks or missing pieces. It is about 13 3/4” tall and 10 1/8” wide. It weighs about 3 pounds!
You can use it to add a little “antique” to your new or aged home. It was salvaged from an old home years ago. Leave it with its partly painted/rust color or use one of your favorite paint colors that will accent the special place you will place this work of art.
