Antique PROFESSOR DAYTON Magician Spiritualism Vintage ORIGINAL MAGIC POSTER

Description

Up for sale is this very rare antique original broadside for the magician Professor Dayton.  Professor Dayton's act often included spiritualistic illusions such as a spirit cabinet and floating table.  He also performed escape artist tricks.  The broadside was printed by the the National Printing and Engraving Company.  It dates from around the early 1900's-1920's.  It is printed on thin paper and measures approximately 40.75 inches by 14 inches.  There is some chipping and small tears around the margin, and a small chip out of the paper by one of the fold lines as seen in the the 7th and 8th photo.  There are some neat repairs on the backside using acid free archival tape as illustrated in the 8th photo.  Overall the poster displays nicely.  All in all a really lovely and very rare old piece of spiritualism and magic history.  The poster will be shipped folded along it's existing fold lines (as that is how it has been stored for many years).  Please look at the photos to note the condition and message me with any questions you might have.  Thanks!
