Antique Joseph Sewill Marine Chronometer.
Circa 1936
Number 14411, all matching serial numbers
Chronometer was just looked over by a watchmaker and has been oiled and is in good working order.
Measurement of wood box: 7.12" wide, 7.38" deep, and 6.75" tall.
Top lid of box is missing, it was common practice on ships
to remove top lid so time could be read without opening lid.

For shipping I will be corking balance wheel, removing chronometer from box, wrap in many
layers of bubble wrap and ship in a very large 18" x 18" x 18" heavy duty box to provide plenty of cushion.
