    Up for sale today is this Antique Bronze Chelsea Columbus Ships Clock & Barometer Desk Set. The clock and barometer set is in very good physical and working condition. The bronzed case and footed base have original surface that has aged nicely. I have two of these sets listed and this one's surface is much better overall. The clock and barometer have screw off bezels that open in the rear. The underside of the base is marked 509415 which may be the serial number. I believe the serial number would be on the inside of the movement but I do not want to remove the movement for fear of damage. The original beveled glass measures 2 3/4" in diameter. The base is about 7" x 2 1/4" and stands 5 1/4" tall. Weighs 6 pounds 10 ounces. There is a second hand, no chime and keeps time accurately. Has an 8 day movement that winds from the rear.Thermometer appears to be accurate and while the barometer moves, the accuracy is unknown. Great early 1900's Chelsea Desk Set for a fair price.
