  • Condition: Antique baby bowl/plate, Nursery Ware, 7 1/2" diameter, porcelain made in Germany. It is 1 1/4" high. The bottom of the bowl has a young Victorian boy feeding a pig in silhouette, Mary Gregory style. It sits 1 1/4" high. There are flowers and a gun around him. The rim of the bowl has blue alphabet letters, in between each letter are different animals in shades of brown. The boy is dressed in knee pants and a shirt with a big red bow, typical dress for young boys at the turn of the century. There is one black speck in the bottom but it's under the glaze. The bottom of this plate has an old price sticker with "Gimbels 100". Gimbels Department stores were operational from 1887 to 1987. Under the label is a partial print that says "GER", most likely GERMANY. There are some hairline glaze cracks but they don't go all the way through the dish.
