EXT Series by the American Dryer Company is identical in every respect to the GXT Series with one major exception.
With no heating element, the EXT Series is the first and only high-speed hand dryer that reduces power consumption to a mere 540 Watts (or 22KiloJoules), making the EXT Series the “GREENEST” hand dryer available.
This same feature (low energy consumption) makes installation of the EXT easier as well; a dedicated circuit is no longer needed.
In fact, up to three(3) EXT hand dryers can safely be installed on one 20Amp line.
And like the GXT Series, the EXT Series has recently been redesigned with at least two major improvements over the previous generation.
The EXT is now equipped with a universal voltage motor.
No longer is it necessary to purchase the specific model to your individual voltage requirements.
The EXT can be connected to any voltage between 110V and 240V.
In addition, this newly improved motor comes with a variable speed feature.
A hidden control allows the owner to adjust the speed (and therefore sound and energy use) of each unit to each unique installation environment.
Whether it be at a sport stadium or a library, this model can be adjusted to that application's requirements.
Specific to the Model EXT7 and this listing, a durable white flame-retardant ABS polymer is used to form the one-piece cover (one of five cover options available in the EXT Series).
Two tamper resistant screws secure this heavy duty cover to the steel base, making the motor inaccessible to vandals.

GXT series, the EXT is also unique in its compact design (a full 43% smaller than the largest and original high-speed dryer).
But while smaller, the EXT is just as powerful as that fore mentioned competitor and uses 3 X less electricity (approx. {{detail_product_description}}.18 per 1000 hand dryings).

EXT’s patented 5/8HP motor uses a “powerful series commutated through-flow discharge vacuum motor/blower” design.
At 24,000 RPM, this powerful yet extremely efficient motor can produce an air velocity of 16,000 linear feet per minute (with a sound level 83dB), drying hand 3 X faster than standard 30-second hand dryers.
At maximum speed, the dry time is an amazing 12 to 15 seconds.
Of course dry time is increased as the motor is adjusted to a slower speed.
But even at the lowest speed setting, the motor can still produce an air velocity 10,000 linear feet per minute, while reducing sound levels to only 69 dB and power usage to a mere 300 watts.
The actual run time for each usage is determined by the user.
The motor is activated by a microprocessor-controlled infrared sensor, and as soon as the user's hands are removed from under the unit, the drying cycle is terminated.
At an ambient temperature of 72°F, the EXT7 heats the out-flowing air to approx. of 85°F (through air compression and friction alone).
