Truck does have surface rust on the under carriage. I have not found any rust holes, Or anything I was concerned about. For the most part the surface rust is on the welded joints. I’ve never had a problem with bolts coming off or anything like that, and I’ve had or taken apart mostly everything. And in 2 years nothing has gotten worst. I’ve had all the interior door panels off and there’s no rust in the doors. The only rust on the body I’ve found was the prong that held the license plate light on. (Picture included). The steel clips that hold the plastic cladding on are rusted, I had someone with very good knowledge about land cruisers look at it, we removed a panel to inspect the condition of the doors themselves, again there is no rust on the doors.
Everything works, AHC, every switch, ext. no warning lights or any kind.
Front seats are worn, Windshield has one chip, (looks to be the factory windshield) dings and scratches on body.
your welcome to do a pre purchase inspection, take it on a 100 mile test drive, I have nothing to hide. Bring an inspector do what ever makes you comfortable or I can coordinate to have it inspected
I have 24k in it over the last 2 years. Ive watched multiple mileage/year trucks sell for over 18k-25k with on cars and bids and eBay with the same surface rust on the bottom (some of which you can tell they have sprayed some sort of black coating over it), this truck has its share of dings, stains, and scratches but I’ve went above and beyond with repairs and maintenance, I believe the asking price is very fair, do a search on cars and bids for comparable’s.
The carfax shows a total loss, this is not the case as it’s a clean title, the title was always clean and as never had a rebuilt or salvage designation. I’ve called the DMV to confirm as I have no idea of it until I began the process to sell it.
