The “Comet” model was first offered in 1947 with a 2 3/4” silvered dial, bronze case, yellow brass cradle and spokes.
Case and dial of this clock are in excellent condition with very minor age marks. There is a very discreet engraving on the base plate “ C.L. “. (See pictures)
Movement serial # 608194. (The discolored spots on the back movement plate are do to lacquer age marks not dirt or oil.) See pictures.
As pictured, movement has a Swiss 11 jewel VS2 escapement which Chelsea introduced in late 1955.
Clock dimensions: 4 3/4” height, 4 1/2” width, 2 3/4” depth
