    Description

1950s poster for a magic show by Leon Pinter. The show was called Varieties-N-Magic. The poster has photos and drawings related to the magic show. I find little information on Pinter other than that he worked mostly in South Texas (La Grange area) and did some shows in Arkansas and Missouri in 1953. He performed for fairs and a school circuit in South Texas 1954-1955. His wife Betty was his assistant. On the poster she is called “Rubie”. 18” x 23” on green thick stock paper with all text and images in dark blue. Text along the bottom for date, location, time, admission and who sponsored the show. This was folded quite crooked and has rough edges and slightly bent corners. Not a great or colorful magic poster, but there probably aren’t too many of these around.
