    Description

This radiator was made by J. F. Pease Furnace Co. in the late 1800s located in Syracuse N.Y. This company was famous and successful for making water heaters, ventilating heaters, and furnace toppers like this one. There are engravings on three of the four sides of the topper. one says the company's name and location, another says "J. R. Reed's Patent, April 9, 1878" and the other says "H. R. Smith & Co. Westfield, Mass". This is a great piece with lots of history and is a great functional antique item for your home. If you have a steam or hot water radiator then lay this antique on top and you now have a shelf that will heat towels, socks, gloves....anything you want.  Ingenious.
